Getting Started.. My First Blog!

I've got some big news! Today I hit my goal of $2,000 on Go Fund Me!

I'm so happy, excited, and overwhelmed because of all the support I have gotten. Never in a million years would I have thought I'd have the opportunity to do this.

Out of a total of 40 care packages, I have 9 complete and tomorrow we are going shopping to finish 4 more. I spent the past two days browsing the internet for items I can get in bulk and I've finally found cute journals, stress balls, face masks, and colored pencils. Also am getting a Vogmask for one of my good friends, who I'm making a box for. It's a splurge, but she has helped me so much and I feel she deserves it. I also have a lovely person who is donating bath bombs! I am quite excited about all of this.

I got a lot done today: I've almost finished my website, posted updates on both my Facebook page and Instagram, emailed a few companies, planned how I will use the first $100 of my donations, went out on a walk in my wheelchair (who I've named Jerry), and met with my church youth directors. Tomorrow I will shop for some more packages and supplies, email a few more people, and finish working on the "learn" page of my site. I'm hoping by the weekend or the beginning of next week I'll get some peaceful boxes shipped out. I'm also planning on sending out thank you cards to all the wonderful people who have helped me reach my goal :)
